In photography, exposure is the amount of light per unit area reaching an image sensor. It is determined by a set of parameters including lens aperture, shutter speed and scene luminance. In between the spectrum of love, there exists control, attraction, dependence, thirst, lust, compensation… We are born to love ; We never get enough, We even fall head over heels, just to grasp the chance to dance with you. This piece employs the terminology and techniques of photography to depict the forms of emotional memories and expressions of love. Set within a curved-walled studio, adjustments in exposure, capture, flash, distance, and light intensity are made to capture emotional memories. Through photographic development techniques, the evolution of love and self is vividly reenacted. Ultimately, these emotions are crystallized into a preserved state.
